just watched that Lena Dunham movie Tiny Furniture and surprise surprise no people of color. You’d think that wouldn’t happen seeing as there are so many POC in NYC but yeeeah nope. The only POC mentioned/seen were restaurant workers. Really? Thanksss. I mean it’s her work so she can do whatever and I have been invited to parties where I’m the only POC so I get that’s a thing but ugh, if you get to cast all these women please don’t forget about women of color. We can do the exact same thing a white girl can do, lol. Really want a strong female character who I can relate to. Come on, media industry, catch up! The only main character we get who is Hispanic/Latino/whatever is Ugly Betty and that’s just not good enough IMO
