There is a lot of discussion in the comics fandom about how to get women into comics, how to keep women in comics, how to increase female representation in comics, both as fans and in the industry – all of which is very necessary of course. There are many, many, many, far too many instances of female characters being reduced to little more than a pair of barely covered breasts for fanboys to ogle or a sacrifice to spur the male hero on to victory.
